The Overnight Lift procedure is performed using local anesthesia. Directly prior to your procedure, your surgeon will review your treatment plan with you, as well as answer any last-minute questions you may have.
During the Overnight Lift procedure, several layers of skin and muscle are addressed to achieve desired results, including the platysma muscle, the fat layer between the neck muscle and skin, and the neck skin itself.
Layer 1: The Platysma Muscle
A suture known as a “cutting suture” is inserted through a small point located behind the ears. This will divide the muscle bands located in the front of the neck and suspend them like a sling. Additional superficial tissue will then be re-draped to create a sharper neck contour.
Layer 2: Subcutaneous Fat
Individuals bothered by the appearance of a “double chin” can address this issue through the removal of the fat pad below the chin via liposuction. If needed, extra fat along the jawline can also be removed to enhance shape and definition.
