Bothered by Dimpled, Uneven Skin? We Can Help
Over 80% of women are affected by cellulite. Cellulite is a common skin condition that results in dimpled flesh on many areas of the body but is most common on the buttocks and thighs. While it is not dangerous to your health, many are self-conscious of the way it looks.
At Defyne Plastic Surgery, we offer a non-invasive cellulite treatment that provides natural-looking results so you can feel confident in your skin. Contact us today to schedule your consultation appointment.
What is Cellulite Treatment?
Cellulite treatment at Defyne involves innovative, minimally invasive techniques that help smooth the appearance of dimpled skin. Rather than just addressing fat alone, our approach targets the underlying connective tissue and skin quality for enhanced aesthetic outcomes.
Traditionally, cellulite has been very difficult to treat, with many marketed solutions falling short of the promised outcomes. At Defyne, we are proud to offer a solution to get rid of cellulite that actually delivers the results you desire. Our solution involves a 2-step process that involves releasing the fibrous septae beneath the skin and then filling in this space with a filler substance.
Step 1: Break Fibrous Bands
The first step toward effective cellulite removal is to break the fibrous septae bands beneath the skin. This is achieved with minimally invasive Aveli. By releasing these fibrous bands, the skin appears smoother, and the appearance of cellulite is reduced.
Step 2: Fill in the Empty Space
In order to ensure that the fibrous bands do not reform, the indented contours must be filled. There are various options for filling in these areas, including your own harvested fat or human-derived donor fat cells, and fat matrix (alloClae).
Harvested Fat
Fat grafting, also called fat transfer, involves collecting your own fat cells from a donor site, harvesting those cells, and then transferring the purified fat into the desired area.
At Defyne, we use EVFT, an advanced fat-transfer technology engineered to significantly enhance fat survival beyond current industry standards. Traditional fat transfer can fail because many fat cells are damaged during liposuction and mixed with blood and other non-fat material—elements the body ultimately absorbs, reducing long-term volume. EVFT addresses this by gently purifying and restoring harvested fat cells before transfer, allowing healthier cells to integrate more effectively.
alloClae
alloClae is a cutting-edge, ready-to-use filler product used to enhance body contours and address concerns like cellulite and hip dips. Formulated with intact fat cells and naturally occurring extracellular matrix proteins, it blends flawlessly with your body’s natural tissues for natural-looking results. This treatment is suitable for many body areas and provides immediate contour improvement through volume restoration. The combination of Aveli and alloClae is dubbed as A².

What to Expect
To best determine which cellulite treatment is right for you and your unique goals, a consultation with one of our specialized patient care coordinators is your first step. During this meeting, you can discuss your cellulite concerns, as well as ask questions you may have regarding the treatment options. Your surgeon will learn about your medical history and aesthetic goals to determine which cellulite treatment is right for you.
The treatment technique used will depend on the specific cellulite treatment chosen for your individual goals. Aveli will generally be the first step of your cellulite treatment, followed by filling in the dimpled space to ensure the septae bands do not reform for a smooth skin appearance. The substance chosen to fill in this space may vary depending on your discussion with our team and your personal goals.
Minimal downtime is required following cellulite treatment. Depending on the specific treatment technique used, most patients can return to their regular activities within 24-48 hours. Strenuous activity such as heavy lifting and intense exercise should be avoided for 1-2 weeks following treatment to allow for optimal healing. Our team will provide you with detailed aftercare instructions to help ensure beautiful results.
What Our Patients Say
Read MoreWhy is volume used in Cellulite Treatment?
Cellulite is not just a surface issue — it’s structural.
When fibrous septae (connective tissue bands) pull the skin downward, they create visible dimples. Once those bands are released with Aveli, a small space is created beneath the skin. If that space is not addressed, the contour irregularity can persist or potentially re-tether over time.
Strategic volume restoration — using your own harvested fat or alloClae — fills that space and supports the skin from beneath. This:
– Smooths the indentation
– Restores contour harmony
– Enhances skin quality
– Helps prevent recurrence of the dimple
At Defyne, we believe true rejuvenation balances structure and volume. Addressing both is what creates refined, natural-looking results.
How is this Cellulite Treatment different from others?
Most cellulite treatments focus on one element — tightening the skin, melting fat, or temporarily plumping the surface.
Our approach is different because it addresses the root cause.
Cellulite forms due to fibrous bands tethering the skin downward. Aveli precisely identifies and releases those bands in real time. Instead of guessing or broadly treating an area, it allows for targeted correction of each dimple.
We then enhance results with volume restoration (fat grafting or alloClae), which:
– Supports the released area
– Improves contour smoothness
– Provides more comprehensive correction
– Delivers longer-lasting results
This two-step strategy (Aveli + volume) treats both the structural tethering and the contour deficit — rather than masking the appearance temporarily.
The result is smoother skin that looks natural, not overfilled or artificially tightened.
Does cellulite go away with weight loss?
Since cellulite involves fat, a common perception is that losing weight should also get rid of cellulite. The real answer is that weight loss—along with regular exercise and increased muscle mass—may reduce the appearance of cellulite for some, but not all, individuals. Sometimes, weight loss can exaggerate the look of cellulite.
