To prepare for your treatment, you may be asked to avoid sun-tanning or self-tanners for four weeks prior. Depending on the treatment area, excess hair may need to be shaved the night before. Patients with a history of herpes or cold sores may require an antiviral prescription before treatment. Our clinical team will provide detailed instructions to ensure you are fully prepared.
During the procedure, a topical numbing cream is applied to the targeted area for comfort. Morpheus8 combines microneedling with radiofrequency (RF) energy, using tiny, specially coated needles to penetrate the skin while delivering RF energy to deeper tissues. This dual approach stimulates collagen and elastin production, resulting in skin tightening and rejuvenation. Treatments are typically quick and can often be completed in about 30 minutes.
Recovery is straightforward, as Morpheus8 requires virtually no downtime. You will be sent home with a specialized skincare ointment to apply twice daily to keep the skin moisturized. Makeup should be avoided on the treated area for 72 hours to reduce the risk of infection. Mild redness, swelling, or bruising is common and usually resolves by the next day.
