Turn Back the Clock on Your Skin with Botox & Dysport

Fine lines and wrinkles are a natural part of aging, but they don’t have to define your expression. Botox and Dysport are non-surgical treatments that relax facial muscles to smooth lines, soften wrinkles, and give your face a refreshed, natural appearance. With minimal downtime, these injectables help you look more rested, youthful, and confident.

At Defyne Plastic Surgery, we tailor every treatment to your unique facial features and goals, ensuring subtle, long-lasting results that enhance your natural beauty. Contact us today to schedule your consultation appointment.

What are Botox & Dysport?

Every day, our facial muscles contract and relax as we smile, frown, or express ourselves in countless ways. Over time, this repeated movement can lead to dynamic lines and wrinkles. Botox and Dysport are injectable neuromodulators designed to target these lines, helping your skin look smoother and more youthful. They work by temporarily blocking nerve signals to the muscles, allowing them to relax.

These treatments can address a variety of concerns, including:

  • Forehead creases
  • Glabellar lines (frown lines or “11s” between the eyebrows)
  • Crow’s feet
  • “Cobblestoned” or dimpled chin appearance
  • Platysmal bands (vertical neck bands)
  • Square or prominent jawline (masseter treatment for a softer, more relaxed lower face)
  • And more

At Defyne, we create personalized Botox and Dysport treatment plans to meet your goals. Whether you want to prevent wrinkles before they appear or smooth existing lines for a refreshed, youthful look, our team will design a plan that’s tailored to your unique facial features.

What to Expect

Prepare

Your first step is a personalized consultation with one of our specialized patient care coordinators. This is your opportunity to discuss your aesthetic goals, review your medical history, and ask any questions about the treatment.

During Your Procedure

Before treatment, a topical numbing cream may be applied to ensure comfort. For additional relief, PRO-NOX is available. Botox or Dysport is then skillfully injected into the targeted muscles at precise points. While some patients may feel a brief pinching sensation, the procedure is generally well-tolerated and not painful.

Downtime & Recovery

There is no downtime, so you can return to your usual activities immediately. Mild bruising or redness may occur but typically resolves on its own. To support optimal results, patients are advised to avoid alcohol, strenuous activity, and heat exposure (saunas, hot tubs, sunbathing) for 24 hours after treatment.

Results are usually noticeable within 7 days and can last 3 to 6 months. To maintain results, treatments can be repeated as needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

question_svgrepo.com

What Is the Difference Between Botox And Dysport?

The main difference is their formulation, which affects how much the product spreads and how quickly results appear. Botox contains a protein that breaks down more slowly, while Dysport contains a milk protein that spreads more easily but is metabolized slightly faster.

question_svgrepo.com

How Does Botox Work?

Botox is an FDA-approved neuromodulator that temporarily relaxes targeted muscles. It works by blocking nerve signals to the muscles, preventing contraction. This helps smooth frown lines, forehead lines, crow’s feet, and other facial imperfections.

question_svgrepo.com

How Many Botox Sessions Do I Need?

Most patients receive Botox every 3 to 4 months. In some cases, muscles may “learn” to contract less over time, allowing for longer intervals between treatments. Your provider will monitor your results and recommend the optimal timing for follow-up sessions.

Botox Vs. Dermal Fillers?

While both are non-surgical cosmetic treatments, they work differently. Botox relaxes specific muscles to smooth dynamic wrinkles, whereas dermal fillers plump hollow areas to reduce the appearance of static wrinkles. Our experienced providers will help you choose the ideal treatment based on your goals and facial features.
