What to Expect

To ensure the best results, your provider may recommend pausing certain medications a few days before treatment and avoiding chemical peels, facials, or sun exposure leading up to your appointment.
A topical anesthetic will be applied to the treatment area to maximize comfort. The chosen filler will then be carefully injected into targeted areas to achieve your desired results. Appointment length varies depending on the number and size of areas being treated. Patients who are anxious about injections may benefit from PRO-NOX, which helps reduce discomfort and ease anxiety during the procedure.
Dermal fillers require no downtime, making them ideal for a quick “lunchtime” treatment. Mild swelling or bruising may occur but typically resolves within a few days. For optimal results, patients should avoid alcohol, strenuous exercise, hot tubs, and saunas for 24 to 48 hours after treatment. Results can be seen immediately and generally last from 6 months to over 2 years, depending on the area treated and product used. Maintenance treatments can help prolong your results.
Types of Fillers
Microfat Grafting
For those seeking a natural alternative to synthetic fillers, micro fat grafting uses purified fat harvested from your own body. This minimally invasive procedure restores lost volume and naturally enhances facial or body features.
alloClae
alloClae is a regenerative, minimally invasive body filler made from human-derived donor fat cells and extracellular matrix proteins. It improves body contours, addresses cellulite, and treats hip dips. This structural adipose filler provides volume and support without fat harvesting, and can be combined with treatments like Aveli for cellulite or EVFT for breast and buttock augmentation. The procedure involves local anesthesia, and there is minimal to no downtime, offering long-lasting, natural-looking results.
Juvéderm
The Juvéderm family of fillers is made with hyaluronic acid (HA) to restore natural volume and hydration. Most formulations include lidocaine for comfort during injections. Each product in the Juvéderm line is designed for specific applications, with results lasting from 6 months to 2 years, depending on the filler.
Restylane
Restylane fillers also use hyaluronic acid (HA) to replace lost volume and provide natural-looking results. Different formulations target specific concerns, with results lasting anywhere from 6 to 18 months.
Resilient Hyaluronic Acid (RHA)
The RHA line is designed to correct moderate-to-severe folds and dynamic wrinkles. RHA Redensity smooths delicate lines around the lips, while RHA 2 and RHA 3 work to smooth wrinkles and folds and enhance lip definition. RHA 4 targets deeper dynamic lines and wrinkles. Depending on the specific formulation used, results typically last 12 to 15 months.
Sculptra
Sculptra is made from poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), which stimulates collagen production rather than using HA. By promoting collagen growth, Sculptra helps smooth lines, restore lost volume, and support skin structure. Results can last over 2 years for many patients.

What Are the Risks of Facial Fillers?

A rare complication called vascular occlusion can occur if filler affects a nearby blood vessel and temporarily reduces blood flow to the area. While uncommon, it is important that it is recognized and treated quickly.
