To best prepare for your Morphus8 treatment, you may be asked to avoid sun-tanning or self-tanners for four weeks prior to treatment. Depending on the treatment area, excess hair may need to be shaved the night before. Those with a history of herpes or cold sores may need to take an antiviral prescription prior to their treatment. Our clinical team will give you detailed instructions on how to best prepare for this treatment.
To begin the Morpheus8 treatment, a topical numbing cream will be applied to the targeted area to ensure your comfort. Morpheus8 goes beyond traditional microneedling treatment by incorporating RF energy. It works by using very small, specially coated microneedling needles to penetrate the treatment area. Simultaneously, RF energy will be delivered into the tissues to trigger elastin and collagen production for skin tightening and rejuvenation. Treatment is quick and can usually be completed in just 30 minutes.
Following your Morpheus8 treatment, no downtime is required, so you can turn to your usual routine. You will be sent home with a special skincare ointment, which will need to be applied to the treatment area twice a day to keep the skin moisturized. Do not apply makeup to the treatment area for 72 hours to avoid the risk of infection.
